This master bathroom in this custom built home utilized a common layout with his and her sinks and a jacuzzi style tub. The goal here was to create additional privacy for the toilet and improve functionality within the existing footprint while providing access to the patio and hot tub outside.
DESIGN AND LAYOUT
After reviewing multiple layout options the decision was made to enclose the toilet in a water closet and use a barn door to maximize the walkway space. Eliminating the tub and placing both sinks on the same wall allowed for an expanded shower next to the new water closet. With the additional space there was also room for a makeup counter and an extra cabinet!
STYLE AND FINISHES
Extra storage above the vanity is a nice touch for the makeup counter and the lighted mirrors provide a sophisticated ambiance. Chrome fixtures nicely add an elegant touch tying together the cut glass in the chandelier with glass on the cabinets knobs. The diamond shape Chalk Silver tile is intentionally patterned to create a cube effect throughout the floor while the rich subtle greys accentuate the creamy taupe in the Zurich leathered granite countertops.
