KITCHEN REMODEL – WESTERVILLE, OHIO

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Checkered flag tile is better left for the racetrack but these clients brought back a win with their new kitchen! We opted to keep relatively the same layout and these DIY’ers even laid their own flooring after they painstakingly removed the black and white tiles.

DESIGN AND LAYOUT

We discussed the space and felt that an island would serve their family better than the existing two tier peninsula. By utilizing the extra wall leading up to the bay window bump out we increased the usable countertop area while leaving extra walkway space around the island. Shifting the location of the fridge allowed for a good size pantry for this size kitchen.

STYLE AND FINISHES

The slight beveled edge of these gray shaker cabinetry helps to provide nice clean lines throughout the kitchen and full depth cabinetry above the fridge maximizes the storage here. They added a gorgeous light above the table and brought in a nice touch with the wooden credenza. The herringbone pattern backsplash accentuates the woodworking in the credenza. Beautiful white quartz countertops with a hint of gray blends well with the stone color of the cabinetry and the marble backsplash.
